Good to know
A perfect home base to return to after a day of exploring the city, or a private and elegant spot to work from home. Our comfy & clean 1 bedroom is on the ground floor of a modern, new-build townhome, and is ideal for couples and solo travelers alike! Lofty ceilings and extra large windows give you room to breathe and fill the unit with light (but blinds and blackout curtains let you sleep comfortably). W Seattle is a laid-back residential area, offering a "small-town" feel with big-city convenience, stunning Puget Sound views, and easy access to downtown. You are centrally located to the best of West Seattle AND the rest of the city, while still tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. While the condo is modern, we've put a touch of history on its walls-- including a photo from 1942 of the Olympia Airport, celebrating the area's rich aerospace history. Other Details to Note
*HILL & PARKING: Please note that the home is located on a hill that is quite steep. Although the unit itself is single-level and fully Accessible, the hill may not be very accessible for those with mobility issues. Free street parking is available on this hill, though it is first-come first-served. If parking is limited, additional street parking is available at the base of the hill. *COOKTOP: The 2-burner electric cooktop is a fully flat style, meaning there are no protruding buttons or knobs, and it can be easy to turn on the heat on accidentally. PLEASE BE CAREFUL and always check if you've turned the heat on by accident when touching or placing any non-cooking implements on the cooktop. Please be aware that it takes a while for it to cool back down as well. *SECURITY: Please be aware that this is the lower unit of a townhouse. There may be guests staying in the unit upstairs, but there are no shared spaces and no access between the units. There is a door connecting the upstairs and downstairs that is locked (with a key) on both sides, and is only accessible to our cleaners when turning over the units, or to guests who have booked the whole house. *NOISE: Please contact us if there are any issues with noise coming from the upstairs unit! We will address it immediately, and we can only fix it if we are alerted to it. We want your stay to be as comfortable and seamless as possible. --- FAQS: Q: Do you have air conditioning? Yes, we do! Unlike most homes in Seattle, we do have built-in air conditioning through a split-type ductless system, which you can control via remote. Q: What is the thermostat in the bathroom for? The thermostat in the bathroom controls the radiant floor heating, and is not connected to the AC/inverter system. Radiant heating always takes a while for the temperature to adjust, so just be aware of that. Q: How does the parking work? Parking is available on the hill, right across from the unit. We do not get designated or assigned parking spots, so parking on the hill is first-come, first-served. There is usually street parking available at the base of the hill as well. Q: What time are check-in and check-out? Our normal check-in time begins at 4pm. We use electronic locks with smart keypads that automatically program your code for the duration of your booking, so we have a self check-in system. You don't have to worry about arriving late; you can arrive any time after 4pm. Our normal check-out time is 11AM. Please note that your keypad code will stop working after this. If you have questions about an early check-in or a late check-out, please see below. Q: Is an early check-in/a late check-out possible? Yes, but it is dependent on our booking calendar and the schedule of our cleaners at that time. Please reach out to us the day before (or day of) your check-in to see if we can get you in earlier than our usual 4pm check-in time. Often times, even if we can't get you in early, you can still drop off your luggage at the home (even if our cleaners are still there). For late check-out: Similarly, it's highly dependent on our schedule. Please contact us about a late check-out as soon as you are able to, ideally a day or two in advance of your scheduled check-out, so our cleaners can plan accordingly. If a new guest is scheduled to check in the same day, we may not be able to accommodate a late check-out. Reach out to us, and we'll work with you as best we can. Q: Do you allow pets? No, unfortunately we do not allow pets at the home. If you bring a pet inside the unit against our rules, there will be a penalty fine. Please see our house rules for more details. We are obligated to accommodate trained and registered ADA service animals-- please contact us if this is the case for you, and we'd appreciate if you can provide any relevant documentation/certifications so we can best accommodate you. Please note that this is distinct from ESAs/Emotional Support Animals. Q: Do you allow smoking or vaping? We strictly do not allow smoking inside of the unit. If we find evidence of smoking inside the home or need to do smoke remediation, there will be a penalty fine. See house rules for more details. If you wish to smoke or vape anything, please do it outside.

Accessibility and Availability
Neighborhood
Located just off the West Seattle Bridge, the Luna Park neighborhood of West Seattle was once home to the famous Luna Park amusement park, known as the Coney Island of the West that operated from 1907 until 1913. The Luna Park Cafe is named in its honor and is just steps away. The cafe has great food, beer, a working jukebox and other curios, and plenty of historical pictures of the amusement park in its heyday. Established in 1989, Luna Park Cafe's quirky atmosphere is honestly kind of legendary, and it's definitely a must-visit in the area. La Chingona Taqueria, also just steps away at the bottom of the hill, is a new addition that has totally captured the hearts (and stomachs) of West Seattle. If Luna Park Cafe is a must-see, La Chingona is a must-eat. Originally a successful food truck (still open and operating in Bellevue), they opened their brick-and-mortar location right here in 2024, and it's very popular. Their #1 item is their Baja Fish Taco, which we can personally testify is almost-unimaginably delicious. But everything is good on their menu. The atmosphere is colorful, vibrant and friendly. We've eaten at La Chingona a lot in our time setting up this property and listing, and we hope to one day make it through the entire menu. Located near Harbor Ave, you're also just minutes away from Jack Block Park, the Seacrest Marina (which hosts delicious Marination Ma Kai and the Water Taxi to the Waterfront downtown), and of course the beautiful Alki Beach— Seattle's sandiest and actually “beachiest” beach, and our personal favorite beach in Seattle, though we might be biased. But seriously, a sunny day on Alki Beach is like nothing else. You're also close to Alaska Junction (the heart of West Seattle), easily accessible by car or by bus. It's a vibrant, walkable business and community center with plenty of dining, shopping & activities along the main strip of California Ave. It also hosts the West Seattle Farmer's Market, and a bus bay transit hub with many central lines to the city.
Guest Access
The place is yours! This is the bottom unit of a townhouse, where each unit has a separate entrance and no shared spaces. You have the lower unit entirely to yourself. Entry is keyless self check-in, so you can come and go as you please. You will be provided your unique entry code, active only during your reservation, a few days before check-in. Simply enter your code on the smart keypad, and you're in! A backup key is in a lockbox by the door just in case. The building is on a hill— and the hill is steep, so please be aware of that and please watch your step. The townhouse has doors on either side of the building for the upper and lower units— your unit and door is on the side that faces DOWNHILL, to the east. Free parking is available on the hill, but it is first-come-first-served. We do not have a designated parking spot. We do not allow pets and we do not allow smoking inside the unit.

By car: You're located just off the West Seattle Bridge, which connects West Seattle to the rest of the city. This makes the best of Seattle easy to get to by car, including Downtown. The bridge also connects to highways like I-5 and I-99, so you can get pretty much anywhere (but you're spared from the highway noise— hallelujah)! But you have GREAT transit options too, so transportation is easy even without a car: • Nearby Rapid Ride (C Line) will take you to Lumen Field in one bus trip! Its routes go to South Lake Union in Seattle or to Alaska Junction (where you can catch lots of other buses too). The Rapid Ride comes every 10 minutes! • FREE Shuttle Line 773: These shuttles (773 and 775) stop through West Seattle's main junctions— and Alki Beach— and end up at the Seacrest Marina, where you can catch the West Seattle Water Taxi. • Water Taxi: For just ~$6, this passenger ferry will whisk you across Elliott Bay to the Seattle Waterfront!! Beautifully scenic, AND convenient. • Fauntleroy Ferry to Vashon Island or Southworth: Accessible via bus or Rapid Ride, this ferry accepts both drive-on and walk-on passengers.
